INSTALLLATION OF CCTV CAMERAS IN ONDO STATE MANDATED BY THE GOVERNOR, ARAKUNRIN OLUWAROTIMI AKEREDOLU
Installation of CCTV in public and private places in Ondo state has been ordered by the Ondo Amotekun, this ultimatum is done to restore the problem of terrorism and order criminal activities in the state. This statement was giving by the Amotekun commandant, Chief Adetunji Adeleye during a press briefing issued in Akure.
According to Chief Adetunji Adeleye the purpose of the CCTV cameras installation in public places is to trap and monitor criminal activities that have been terrorizing the state. This will help to provide a real time clip on criminal activities.
Earlier, the Ondo state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu issued an executive statement mandating it for all private and public organization to install CCTV cameras in their premises. Such public place includes hotel, restaurants, beer parlors/bars, night club, educational institution, religions worship center etc. in all the 18 Local Government Areas of the state, the CCTV cameras will be installed in strategic location within their premises.
This directive was mandated by the Ondo state governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, following the attack in the saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church Owo by unidentified gun men.
